Surge Girls Hockey Launches in Ontario, Redefining Development for Female Athletes
Burlington, ON — Surge Girls Hockey is proud to announce the official launch of Surge, a girls-only hockey club dedicated exclusively to the development, training, and growth of female athletes.
Surge is built on one clear belief: girls’ hockey deserves more than just opportunity — it deserves intensity, visibility, and high standards. From elite skill development to competitive training environments, Surge exists to elevate players on the ice and empower them beyond it.
Surge is a girls-only hockey club created to build momentum — on the ice and in confidence, leadership, and performance. Every program is designed to push athletes outside their comfort zones and into their potential, blending skill execution, hockey IQ, speed, and mental toughness to prepare players for the next level of the game.
What Surge Is

Spring 3v3 leagues
-
Spring Tournament Teams

-
Our instructors were NCAA athletes and former professional hockey players, all of whom are Hockey Canada certified and hold valid police clearances, to deliver elite instruction and mentorship. In addition to Surge-run programs, the club also offers its coaching expertise to minor hockey associations, providing on-ice skill development support directly within existing programs.
What Surge Is Not
Surge is not a minor hockey association.
Surge is not a winter hockey league.
Instead, Surge operates as a specialized development club, focused entirely on training, advancement, and long-term growth for female hockey players. The club is designed to complement — not replace — minor hockey and team play, giving athletes access to higher-level instruction and intentional development opportunities.
